Position summary
If you are captivated by mind games, you possess strong investigation skills and can see patterns behind numbers and scattered pieces of information, it’s highly likely that Fraud Prevention would be your dream job!
As a Junior Fraud Analyst your main responsibility will be to protect the Etraveli Group from financial losses due to fraudulent activities while maintaining sales and customer experience in top performance. Besides screening suspicious transactions, this role should also propose potential improvements in current processes. The ideal candidate must have excellent investigation, problem solving and decision making skills and is expected to be up-to-date with the latest online fraud trends as well as with potential fraud screening tools.
This position will report to the Fraud Prevention Team Leader and will be a member of the Fraud Prevention Team.
Responsibilities
- Screen suspicious transactions accurately and in a timely manner
- Identify fraudulent transactions and take appropriate actions
- Contact customers via phone and email to verify purchases
- Identify fraud patterns and take actions to prevent such activities in the future
- Maximize sales by mitigating losses due to fraud
- Propose potential changes/improvements in our fraud processes and tools, as needed
- Stay up to date with the latest online fraud trends, practices and tools
Requirements
- Data driven thinking along with strong critical, analytical and investigational skills
- Ability to act proactively, take initiatives and pay attention to detail
- Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to interact with clients
- Work independently, meet tight deadlines and navigate multiple systems and processes
- High level of responsibility & integrity
- Discretion in dealing with confidential information
- Fluency in English (verbal and written)
- Computer literacy
- Legal permit to work in Greece
- Availability to work on shifts around the clock (24/7) – 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week including weekends and bank holidays
- Previous work experience as a Fraud Analyst & GDS knowledge (Amadeus/Sabre) will be considered a plus
