Coca-Cola Tria Epsilon is one of the biggest companies in the non-alcoholic beverage industry in Greece and a member of the Coca-Cola Hellenic Group.  Since it’s founding in 1969, the company operates in the Greek market aiming to add value to its consumers, customers, employees and suppliers and also contribute substantially and effectively in the Greek economy and the local communities, where it operates.

Coca-Cola Tria Epsilon bottles, distributes and trades the Coca-Cola Company products, along with a range of its own products, such as the juices Amita and Frulite, the bottled water AVRA, Tsakiris potato snacks as well as products in cooperation with other companies, such as the ready to drink coffee illy cafe, the mixers Schweppes, the energy drink Monster and the tea Nestea.

The Company is seeking to recruit a Quality Control Micro at Aeghion plant.  The Quality Control Micro has responsibility to provide sampling and analysis to verify the effectiveness of the cleaning and hygiene standards in the production environment, chemical and physical analysis, inspection of critical points of production process and production equipment, packaging testing, perform CIP when is required.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Inspection of critical points of production process and production equipment
  • Implementation sampling at specified sampling points
  • Perform chemical and physical analysis of finished products
  • Packaging testing of finished products
  • Monitoring of production line hygiene and application of GMPs standards
  • Results recording and reporting
  • Performs microbiological analysis and controls raw materials, packaging materials, processes, intermediate and finished products as required
  • Records test results in specific forms and reports and prepares statistics on the results of microbiological analysis
  • Prepares laboratory reagents, culture media and materials microbiological samples
  • Accurately applies microbiological methods for process control, raw materials, auxiliary materials and finished product
  • Knows and controls the microbiological quality standards for raw materials and finished products, and the conditions for their proper storage
  • Attends microbiological validation programs for products, equipment and their corresponding processes
  • In conjunction with the QA & QC supervisor and production supervisors takes corrective action / preventive action where deviations from microbiological standards or trends out of these rules, and in case of any deviations from the rules of hygiene and cleaning
  • Collaborates with technician on hand to isolate, mark and record nonconforming product or product suspected of being inconsistent microbiologically
  • Works closely with the QA & QC supervisor and achieves results outside the specifications alert thresholds
  • Cooperation with production department for the implementation of production procedures according to standards and specifications
  • Cooperation with warehouse department for the assurance of distribution procedures and quality of packaging prior to loading
  • Participates in continuous improvement projects
  • Perform CIP when is required

 

Essential Criteria:

  • Knowledge of specific processes in the food industry
  • Higher education in an appropriate field biology / biochemistry
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in microbiological laboratory
  • Knowledge of and ability to implement relevant health and safety and environmental legislation
  • PC skills : Basic MS Office,
  • Very good knowledge of English language is required
  • Ability to work on own initiative, with good planning and organizational skills
  • Enthusiastic with the ability to drive and enforce standards and influence people
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop good relations at all levels both internally and externally.
  • Ability to prioritize, plan and implement own work with supervision
  • Highly motivated and flexible in approach, a team player with an excellent customer service approach

    Desirable Criteria:

  •  Post-graduate degree
  •  SAP knowledge will be an advantage
  •  Previous experience in food industry will be appreciated
