Grant Thornton Greece is now looking to recruit an experienced Senior Motor insurance Claims Handler to join our claims management team. You will be required to manage a portfolio of motor third party injury and accidental damage claims from first notification to final settlement.

Role

  • Liaising with claimants and their legal representatives
  • Working with defense lawyers to manage mitigate, negotiate and settle claims arising on motor fleet,  private car, agricultural vehicles and motorcycle polices
  • To promptly handle and resolve all enquiries from policyholders, claimants and service providers
  • Effectively manage a caseload of claims ensuring that company policy, procedure and regulatory requirements are adhered to at all times
  • Deliver effective and proactive communications when negotiating, focusing on claims resolution to optimize settlement times.
  • Refer claims which fall outside of personal authority levels to the appropriate referral point
  • Gather and process information, as directed, to support the effective assessment of more complex cases
  • Duration: 12 month contract (subject to review at 9 months to extend for up to a further 6 months)

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in similar role within a fast-paced motor claims organization
  • Ability to work individually or as part of a team
  • Strong analytical, verbal and written skills (English will be an advantage)
  • Ability to effectively prioritize workload and with strong time management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of fraud detection protocols is an advantage
